Pre-Bead Fest Post (The Bead Fest Stash Post is Coming, I Promise)

I still have my stash from Bead Fest packed up because I've been working on another super-secret, soon-to-be-revealed surprise in the evenings. Don't have sadz, though, the Great Stash Post is coming soon, I swear.

Hopefully this will keep you entertained until then! Since it was my first time to Philly, we saw the sights on our trip too. Although I took a woefully small number of photos, here are some cool ones.

This is the "Let's Talk About Making A Constitution" Room. I loved it because of the dove gray walls and olive green window treatments. *jewelry palette idea*

Ooooooh, soft side lighting. Purty.

This was much more impressive in real life, but still came out pretty. These are all in the "Hey, guys, let's figure out a new government" building.

Da Bellz.

Rocky and I have the same shoe! LOL!

Since you made it this far, I will treat you to a beady story.

When my hubby was planning our side trip to Lancaster, PA, I saw that there was a bead store there, so I joked "hey, this is the first trip we've taken where I haven't planned 57 bead store excursions LOL yuk yuk yuk (get it, because we were going to spend two days shopping at Bead Fest? Har har, I slay me)

Well, the first stop on the trip was to "a cheese shop," which ended up being the Lancaster Bead Works. It was a pretty cool little shop, and I got some dyed wood beads in shades of mauve, gray Czech glass, and red Czech glass.

He really is a master bead enabler, isn't he :)

Okay, next up, Bead Fest loot and friends post (hopefully starting this weekend)

Bead Fest

No photos yet...

In fact I have to confess I didn't really take any photos on the floor. I know, I know, I'm a horrible blogger.

But I have an excuse...there was just SO MUCH to take in. SO MUCH!

All the amazing art beads...

All the amazing glass, gemstones, metal beads and chain, findings and other do-dads...

And the best part - all the amazing bead people to meet and chat with. Hands down, my favorite part was meeting all the fantastic people I've only "met" online until this weekend. So. Much. Fun.

I'll get the stash posts and photo posts up soon, but for now, me and my happy heart are going to hit the hay.

I've been published in my FIRST bead magazine with the Fall 2012 issue of Stringing.

Check me out! I'm number #7!

I'm heading to Bead Fest Philly in a few days - my first BIG bead show.

And, I have some super secret, SUPER awesome news to reveal (hopefully) by the end of the month.
