New boho earrings listed in my shop. These were fun to make!

Also, check out the additions to the GreenBead sale category!
Fall must be coming...I've brought out the knitting again. I'm not a great knitter. In fact, the only thing I know how to knit are garter stitch scarves. And, in Southern California, thick scarves aren't in high demand. But that doesn't stop me from pawning them off on anyone who will take them.

The latest scarf is made with super soft baby yarn that was going to be a baby sweater from Easy Baby Knits book. Easy my foot. I got two inches into it and called my friend and told her I was sending her a gift card. I don't want to have to count stitches or anything, I just like the simple rhymthic click of the needles. Click click click, ahhhhh.
Today's Three Thrills:

1.  All of our errands are done and I can now relax!
2.  Starbucks sausage sandwhich for breakfast and......wait for it.......Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back! Oh Fall, I've missed you so!
3.  Jewelry picture taking has improved. I moved to a new area of the house and started using white poster board rather than sheet. And, the posts on our stairs make good necklace models in a pinch!

And sad sad news - Dreamstone Beads - the local bead shop that opened about 3 years ago less than a mile from my house (oh, did that strike fear in the heart of my husband!) is now closing. They are doing a storewide 50% off sale. So sad - I will miss them :(

Check out this  cool giveaway from Pretty Things!
Now listed in the GreenBead shop!

A little retail therapy from yesterday. Although I'm SUPPOSED to be on a bead diet, these babies are usually out of stock and I LOVE them. So when they were back in stock, how could I resist? I'm only human!

All from Beadin Path's Keith O'Connor collection

Love the colors, love the grey edges, love the shiny round goodness!

Hello rainbowy deliciousness! And such cute carved & stamped patterns

More in my favorite shades

And, Hello? Did anyone think my rainbow OCD would escape these? It makes me happy just looking at it!

I'm rationalizing by telling myself that, hey I sold a pair of earrings, a necklace and three bracelets this week. Yay me! I'm just re-stocking!

I've been so lucky this month! Check out this great stash of Rings & Things Halloween beady goodness I won from Carol Bradley Designs!

I think I may have to pay it forward in my September First Friday giveaway with some of these wonderful goodies! Boo!
Three Thrills:

1.  Got to discuss design ideas for friendship bracelets with a 10 year old girl. I think that is my favorite age - they are such fun to chat with, and they are always up for crafting and making jewelry!

2.  Had a super fun giggly lunch with friends from the office. I'm so lucky to work with such fun and nice people!

3.  Hubby isn't hungry, so I'm off the hook for dinner ideas.
Working on a stretchy version of this bracelet for a set of friendship bracelets

and listed this pretty lime (see a trend?) bracelet on GreenBead

Three thrills:

1.  This quote: "Change, if it is to be long lasting, must occur on the unseen levels first."

2.  The possibility of thunder storms today

3.  Air conditioning
This week's Wednesday Window Shopping theme is one of my favorite colors - lime!

Today's Three Thrills:

1.  I love the way peas POP! in your mouth when you eat them. Such an exuberant legume!
2.  Cleaning out a closet of clothes that are too small was strangely satisfying. I had no idea what a mental black cloud it had been each time I looked at the hangers full of "you are no longer thin enough."
3.  When looking in my closet for something, I found a cute little owl wallet I forgot I had! It is the clutch style, and I take it on vacations & outings where I just need a credit card or two, not the behemoth wallet.

In other thrilly news, I sold a bracelet, earrings and a necklace this week!

Here is today's three thrills!

1.  Man, I LOVE the reruns of Golden Girls on Oxygen. That show is STILL funny, and it reminds me of babysitting in high school - by Golden Girls (and Empty Nest) the kids would be in bed and I could relax (and raid the fridge)

2.  I got a great African/Latin dance video off Netflix I did tonight as part of a new exercise plan. Super fun ("what, it's over?!?!) and sweaty. Danced off my stress from the day, even if a big part of it was just me jumping up and down and thinking, "wait, what they heck are they doing?!?"

3.  Got some cute boho tunic-y tops from Old Navy. I told my husband I want to expand the clothing budget to get some more clothes that are more me and less "throw a tee-shirt in the cart from Target between buying laundry soap and printer paper"

(Tried to add photos, but wasn't behaving! Sorry!)

Nicki posted about a blogger named Clare who has a Three Beautiful Things blog, where she posts three positive things from each day. I tend to be such a negative Nancy, I think that is a splendid idea! So here goes:

1.  Air conditioning

2.  We are having some delish Teppan food tonight. I hope the chef makes the volcano of onion rings!

3.  A good chunk of quality bead time with creative juices flowin'

Anyone else want to play?
More productivity, even though I had to hose off my head with the garage hose a few times because of this heat. Thankfully, my hubby cleaned and hosed out the garage before I started so the evaporating water from the floor kept it cool.

I made a pair of these earrings for a friend, who wanted to buy them out of my ears at our party on Friday. Of course, I made the mistake of drilling the hole for the earring wire (a modification from the ones in the photo) AFTER I hammered and patinaed them and wire wrapped the lava beads to them, and I broke a drill bit in one of them. So I had to start over from scratch. Ugh. For the next set I drilled first. So HA bad luck bead gods.

I made a pair of these earrings for my sister in law. I liked them so much I promptly made a pair for me and one for the shop. Man, I am so in love with fuscia I may have to marry it.

And I made these for the GreenBead shop, they will be listed soon

Finally, I made this bracelet with the beads I got from Bead Brains at the Pasadena show. I also swiped her idea on how to use them - the headpin goes though the front of the bead and ends in a wrapped loop that goes around the wire on the back of the next bead. Holler if you want shots of the back, as I suspect my explanation stinks ;)

I won this super cool book from Beading Arts' giveaway

There are so many cool ideas in it - can't wait to get started!
Andrew is doing another cool giveaway - check it out!
Is it just me, or are peacocks going to be the next owl?

I hope so - I love owls to pieces, but I also love the romanticism and colors of peacocks! Very Great Gasby
I got an exciting offer via Etsy. I get to trade this bracelet

for yummy soaps from Maple Street Creations

I'm so excited about this lemongrass soap

and this cherry almond one

and this coriander/ginger one!
