But, not to be a bead-buying buzz kill. I got the most gorgeous stash of Elaine Ray beads from Ornamentea today. Gor-geous. I've never had any of her beads, but they fill me with bead lust every time I see them, so I splurged.

I knew before I'd finished reading that you made a visit to Excellent Gem! I'm glad to see my career as a pusher of bead porn is having such excellent success.
I went through a similar situation with my dad and yeah, the bead buying went into overdrive. So did the jewelry-making - I came up with an entire new collection during that time. They say great tragedy makes great art (and large credit card bills, too, apparently)
Now I gotta go check out a couple of the shops you just mentioned that I didn't already know about. How is that even possible???
